Intelligence Support Officer

Keeping Prisons safe and secure

 

This role presents as an excellent opportunity to join our fresh and dynamic Intelligence team as an integral team member, and contribute towards ensuring New Zealand's public safety.

 

Supporting the Northern Region Intelligence Unit, key accountabilities will encompass researching; collection and collation of intelligence information; data entry, extraction and analysis; and report writing.

 

Ideally you will present with an inquisitive nature and the motivation to commence your career path in intelligence. A degree in Criminology or a similar field is preferred but not essential. To be successful in this position you will need to be relatively tech savvy, well versed in Excel and Microsoft Word and have the ability to streamline processes to attain efficiencies.

 

You will be required to assist report writing for senior decision makers so a professional and concise writing style is sought, as is the ability to think critically. As this is a pivotal role where you will interact with a wide range of stakeholders you will need to present with an engaging and open communication style and a positive team orientation.

 

This position is based at Northern Regional Office – Penrose, Auckland

 

Salary range for this position is $39,678 to $50,465 per annum
