Public Engagement sits within the Information and Knowledge Services branch, the Department s epicentre of information management, culture and heritage. Our branch is all about collecting, storing, preserving and sharing important things that are precious to New Zealand. 

Public Engagement is looking for a 1FTE Events Coordinator Public Experience to join our team. You will contribute to the development, planning, marketing and realisation of a range of dynamic public programmes, pop-ups and workshops.

About the Role

The Public Experience Coordinator is a fast-paced role which requires a passion for excellent customer service, an eye for detail and a desire to work with a great team on some great public programming.

Our team prides itself on delivering high quality programming to a diverse range of people of all ages on a range of topics we are looking for an organised and forward thinking individual to join us to help make what we do even better.

To be successful in this role you will need

  • Proven customer service and/or hospitality experience
  • The ability to think creatively and find a solution under pressure
  • The ability to plan and execute events - small to medium sized
  • A can-do attitude and strong organisational skills
