Job Description

  • Permanent role for experienced evaluator - Level 2
  • Position open to Wellington, Manukau or Hamilton

Inland Revenue has an ambitious evaluation work programme that will help the organisation transform itself into a modern, customer-centric agency.

Our Customer Insight & Evaluation (CIE) team is a multi-disciplinary team with evaluators, customer insight specialists, designers and data analysts working together to produce timely and relevant insights for our stakeholders.

As an experienced evaluator, you'll be able to show:

  • Experience in building and undertaking fit-for-purpose evaluation of programmes and policy changes
  • An ability to find a pragmatic way forward
  • A focus on delivery and meeting agreed deadlines
  • That you thrive in a fast-paced environment, working on a range of different projects at once
  • That you're willing to learn, get stuck in and try lots of different and new things
  • You have a love of stories - we need you to be able to write and tell compelling stories that inspire action
  • Warmth and enthusiasm

Experience in working with Pacific communities is an advantage for this role.

You'll be utilising your experience in evaluating projects, programmes and policy. We're looking for someone who knows the ins and outs of intervention logic mapping and developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and can independently lead significant evaluation projects.

We pride ourselves on producing cutting-edge outputs, and we'll support you to perform complex problem solving, and think critically and creatively.

Join us! Make your mark at a time where you'll have input into our future and be a pivotal part of the new and evolving Inland Revenue.

We expect to appoint in the salary range of between $98,300 and $121,399.
