We have identified our critical risks to health and safety, which are integrated into our corporate enterprise risk framework, and we are working with the organisation to embed these risks more strongly. As a Senior Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor with IR, you'll be working part of a small team. You will be:

  • Allocated sites and business units that you directly support to manage critical risks to health and safety
  • Working with other parts of our business to ensure that we are managing risks to health and safety in a co-ordinated way
  • Mentoring others less experienced than you
  • Offered mentoring and development opportunities.

We're looking for:

  • Graduate-level qualifications (level 7 or better on the NZQA framework, or equivalent international qualifications)
  • Graded membership in a recognised professional health and safety or risk body such as IOSH, NZISM, or RiskNZ, with current CPD
  • Familiar in the application of risk thinking to health and safety context
  • At least 5 years' experience in risk or health and safety management, including practical, hands-on experience
  • The ability to go and find solutions to issues and apply best practice, in a peer-reviewed and supportive team environment.
  • The ability to lead risk-based health and safety conversations at senior management level.

One or more of the following would be advantageous:

  • Project management skills (formal or informal)
  • Experience supporting mental health and mental wellbeing in a risk-based way.

This position is located opposite Wellington Railway Station in a modern and spacious office, close to shops and the waterfront.

Please contact if you have any questions.
