Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities brings together the three existing agencies of Housing New Zealand, HLC and KiwiBuild to form a new organisation.

Ko tā mātou mahi - Our role

The Healthy Homes Guarantee Act was passed in December 2017 to enable standards to be set to make rental homes warmer and drier. The standards cover heating, insulation, ventilation, moisture ingress and drainage, and draught stopping. The standards come into force 1 July 2019 and Kāinga Ora and Community Housing Providers must comply with the Healthy Homes Standards by 1 July 2023. We will also be exceeding the standards in relation to ensuring a home can achieve World Health Organization Guidelines for indoor air temperature, meaning a whole of house heating solution that will achieve 18 degrees or more.

This is a newly created position reporting to the Programme Manager Healthy Homes. We are looking for an experienced facilitator that has the ability to work with complex and diverse customers and, the skills to gather information and assess each customer's situation and come up with the appropriate solution. You will be calm under pressure can think on your feet and will go the extra mile for your customer.
