  • Based in Takapuna and Wellington

    We have an exciting opportunity available for a Level 1 I&I Specialist to join our team in Takapuna and Wellington. The Wellington role will sit within our organised crime team. This team is responsible for providing intelligence that specifically addresses criminal networks.

    Working collaboratively across the Intelligence & Insight unit, you will use data from a variety of sources to provide quality and actionable insights.

    To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate:
  • Strong data and analytical skills, with the ability to present analysis in an easy to understand way.
  • Knowledge of assessing tax or financial risk. Some basic knowledge of Money Laundering would be useful.
  • Good communication skills - both written and oral with great intrapersonal skills.
  • Self-management, being proactive with an ability to adapt and respond to a changing environment.
  • A curious outlook with a desire to learn and grow in the role

    A previous background of working in intelligence or with assessing tax or financial risk is essential. This role will interact with other agencies and establishing strong inter-agency relationships is pivotal.

    Note for Wellington role:

    Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET government security clearance. In order to achieve this they must be a New Zealand citizen or resident who has resided continuously in this country for 10 years, OR a citizen of Australia, Canada, The United Kingdom, or The United States of America; and have resided continuously in one or more of those countries for the past 10 years prior to application, with a background history which is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZSIS towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at a high level.
