Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role

We are looking for a Business Change lead to join Biosecurity New Zealand in a fixed term role within the Response Capacity team.  This is a unique role that will allow you to work with strategic suppliers, internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement a Business change programme of work. You will bring your confidence and relationship management and communication strengths with will allow you to work with senior stakeholders both within and external to Biosecurity New Zealand.

You will become a leader of change in the readiness and response services team as well as playing a lead role in a significant procurement project team. You will be highly productive, highly driven and have the ability to meet deadlines.

 

Mōu - About You

Bring your experience in Change Management along with your ability to get stuff done and your enjoyment of working in busy environment where no two days are the same.

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience as a Change Manager.
  • Proven experience in leading operational change management/ transition management programmes in complex environments.
  • Experience delivering change management plans and delivering business impact assessments
  • Experience in developing and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Experience leading others through change.
  • Experience in managing multifaceted projects.

 

Mō te peka- About the Branch

Biosecurity New Zealand has a critical role in preventing harmful organisms crossing New Zealand's borders. It manages border and compliance activities as well as preparing for, and responding to, any biosecurity incursions that may occur.

They also manage MPI's centralised intelligence, planning and co-ordination group which was established to manage food, biosecurity and animal welfare responses consistently and effectively.

 

Mō tō mātou rōpū – About the Team

The Readiness & Response Services Directorate within Biosecurity New Zealand brings together critical capability to effectively prepare for and manage responses. The directorate co-ordinates recovery and long term management activities, working across biosecurity, food, primary production and trade systems.

Salary range for this role is $91,000 to $107,000 depending on skills and experience
