Family Harm Response Administrator

Whanganui

Salary Range: $49,158.00 - $66,507.00

Permanent, Fulltime

Whanganui Police is looking for an Administrator to work in our newly established team that is working in partnership with Iwi and the community to address family harm in Whanganui (FLOW).  This position is a permanent position.

 

FLOW has been created as a result of the new operational model for Police, Whāngaia Ngā Pā Harakeke (WNPH). The WNPH initiative sees Police partnering with iwi/hapü, government agencies and non-government organisations to reduce family harm in communities.

 

The FLOW Administrator will play a key role in the Safety Assessment Meetings. The purpose of these meetings is to share information between agencies relating to family harm episodes, to triage them and then prioritise actions emanating from these discussions.

 

The FLOW Administrator is integral to the meeting and will be responsible for recording relevant shared information and also provides timely and accurate administrative support for the wider Family Harm work group. Part of the Administrators role is the preparation of supporting documents prior to Safety Assessment Meetings.  There is also a requirement to provide administrative support to the FLOW Strategic Leadership Group (SLG).

  

The successful applicant will be able to work as part of a small diverse team. Good key-board skills are essential.

 

Hours of work are from 8am - 4pm, Monday - Friday. (At times you may be required to work alternative hours).

 

 

Skills:

  • An ability to easily learn computer applications
  • Ability to analyse situations quickly and in turn come up with a solution in a timely manner
  • Ability to manage and respond to multiple sources of information, enquiries and partner agencies
  • Filter and enter data into databases in real time

 

 

Experience:

  • Experience in administrative support with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness contributing to successful outcomes and results
  • Customer focused and professional in all aspects of work
  • Working in a team environment contributing to delivering on strategic focus
