About the group

Funding and Programme Delivery is a key group within the new Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. We fund and partner initiatives to deliver more permanent public housing and affordable rental supply. We also spearhead the provision of programmes that are focused on supporting people with a housing need, including those who are homeless.  Ultimately, our Group (like our colleagues across the Ministry) is all about creating thriving communities where everyone has a place to call home.

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced personal assistant to support two busy managers within this group. You will be responsible for end to end administrative support, ensuring everything runs smoothly for these managers who are often located offsite. Some of your responsibilities will include, diary management including drafting responses where appropriate, acting as a first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, arranging travel, processing invoices and minute taking.

About you

You will be an experienced personal assistant who is comfortable multitasking through a busy workload. You will quickly be able to prioritise important tasks and escalate where necessary. Your excellent communication skills will see you easily build strong working relationships across the organisation.   

Your background will include:

  • Ability to pre-empt managers needs and identify priorities and risks
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Email and diary management
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • High integrity and proven ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Familiar with booking travel and events as required
  • Experience managing invoices
  • Confidence in working across ambiguous and changing environments.
