Job Description

The Pricing and Economics unit was established as a separate Unit earlier this year to drive improved conservation outcomes and to address the need to drive greater revenue from those who benefit from the use of conservation assets. This is a rare opportunity to join us as we embark on the second phase of our journey by further increasing the size and capability of our team.


The Role

As our new analyst will play a pivotal role by providing analytical support to the pricing and economics unit and beyond.  You will ensure projects are well defined, scoped appropriately and implemented consistently. You will be working with multiple streams of internal and external data sources and a range of stakeholders.  You will be skilled at interpreting data and policy and have a good understanding of pricing and economic methodologies.  You will be proficient at translating information into insight and able to convey information is a variety of formats to meet the needs of different audiences.


About you

This appointment requires a dedicated and proactive individual with the curiosity to identify opportunities and initiative to explore these. Your strong communication skills will allow you to adapt the presentation of your information to ensure its suitability to your target audience. We are looking for an agile thinker who can understand and apply new information to learn and grow in this position. A relevant university qualification and work experience is desired.


Specific skills

  • Sound conceptual, analytical and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to lead project work within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Understanding of the implications of the Treaty of Waitangi on today's society
  • Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
