Help shape the future of Education

At the Ministry of Education, we work together to shape an education system that delivers equitable and excellent outcomes.

Our organisation is made up of more than 3,000 talented and committed people around New Zealand, from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures.

While we work in different groups and on different things, we all strive every day to make the biggest difference we can for every child, young person and adult student in our education system.

About our group and team

The Information Technology group provides the information, infrastructure and support to the Ministry to get the job done.

The ICT Project Services Team of Project Managers and Coordinators, supported by the Project Office, takes pride in its strong delivery commitment and the high standard of work it achieves.  In the last year we embarked on a New Ways of Working journey, which has seen the introduction of more agile ways of thinking, organising and working for some of our initiatives.

We have an exciting range of projects for the next few years and there will be lots of opportunities to work with a variety of project teams that will deliver some real improvement and innovation for both the Ministry and the Education Sector.

About this role

Following the experimentation phase, we move forward in the next phase of our journey. We are embracing more adaptive ways of delivery and evolving our agile practice, alongside the predictive approaches used by the Ministry.

The Scrum Master role is instrumental in helping teams to perfect their ways of working and delighting customers.
