About Us

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is the Government's lead advisor on housing and urban development and will deliver the Government's programme to address homelessness, increase public and private housing supply, make existing homes warmer and healthier, make housing affordable for people to rent and buy, and lead quality urban development strategies to create thriving communities.

About the role

Our Corporate teams are not only responsible for providing top notch to services to our wider Ministry, we are also responsible driving innovative strategies, frameworks and work programmes which help develop our people, shape systems and processes and meet the changing needs of customers and government.

We are on the look-out for an experienced Payroll Advisor keen for a part-time role in a small team. As Payroll Advisor at HUD you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the timely and accurate delivery of the fortnightly pay run
  • Processing new starters and terminations
  • Maintaining employee records and updating any changes in a timely manner
  • Responding to payroll related queries
  • Providing support to the Payroll Lead and contributing to project work.

 

About You

As Payroll Advisor you will have at least 2 years' experience processing end to end payroll in a mid-sized company and you will have worked in a complex legislative environment with a range of employment agreements. You can demonstrate strong problem solving and conceptual skills and will display a professional approach to your work. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Public sector experience and an interest in learning wider HR related activities is advantageous.
