Job Description

For Inland Revenue, being customer-centric starts with understanding our customers. This means understanding their context, what drives their behaviour, their life events and what they need from us now and in the future.

Our Customer Insight & Evaluation (CIE) team is a unique multi-disciplinary team with researchers, evaluators, designers and data analysts working together to produce timely and relevant insights for our stakeholders.

You'll be able to show:

  • An aptitude for strategic thinking. You see the big picture, understand how your work can contribute to it and drive change for our organisation and our customers
  • Experience in understanding customers' needs and drivers, and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • You have a love of stories - we need you to be able to write and tell compelling stories that inspire action
  • A focus on delivery and meeting agreed deadlines
  • That you thrive in a fast-paced environment, working on a range of different projects at once
  • That you're willing to learn, get stuck in and try lots of different and new things
  • Positivity and enthusiasm

You'll be method agnostic in your approach - considering a range of approaches to solving stakeholders' problems (e.g. evaluation, qualitative research, quantitative research, environmental scanning, service design).

We pride ourselves on producing cutting-edge outputs, and we'll support you to perform complex problem-solving, and think critically and creatively.

Join us! Make your mark at a time where you'll have input into our future and be a pivotal part of the new and evolving Inland Revenue.

We expect to appoint in the salary range of between $98,300 and $121,399.
