Job Description

The Project Manager Leaders Week oversees the organisation and delivery of Leaders Week 2020.

Leaders Week is the Ministry's biennial conference for Heads of Mission / Post and senior Wellington leadership.  The 2020 event includes a conference programme, a reception hosted by the Prime Minister, engagement with senior political leaders and stakeholders and an outreach programme in Auckland.

Working closely with the Leaders Week Working Group, you will make a significant contribution to the success of Leaders Week including management of the programme, co-ordination of speakers and event logistics. You will have visibility of both the strategic and operational components of Leaders Week, and will ensure delivery of a highly successful and engaging event for the Ministry's leaders.

You will be highly organised and demonstrate a proactive approach to planning and organisation.  You will be experienced working on events and speaker/visitor programmes, including liaison with Ministers, senior public servants and leaders across the Ministry.  You will be good with detail, and also managing an overall programme with many moving parts.  You will enroll and guide staff from across the Ministry in support of the event, including a significant surge in activity toward event itself.
