Job Description

Do you enjoy working to support others to be successful – do you always put the customer first, and strive to provide a professional service? If this sounds like you, the Department of Conservation wants to talk to you about a fantastic opportunity based in Conservation House, Wellington.

 

We are seeking an experienced, organised, capable Personal Assistant who loves working with people.

 

You will be part of the Legal Services team who are vital to the operation of our organisation. You will be a self-starter that supports conservation growth and being the focal point of the legal team will mean that you will need to react to requirements from the Chief Legal Advisor & Legal Service's Managers as well as the broader legal team and across a range of teams in the Department.

 

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • a qualification in business/office administration or equivalent experience
  • proven ability to deal with confidential/sensitive material with discretion
  • strong communication & relationship building skills
  • experience with Dictaphone typing or willingness to learn
  • an understanding of the work of the Department and how it contributes to New Zealand's future sustainability
  • high level organisation skills, the ability to deliver on time and solve problems as they arise
  • a thorough knowledge of Microsoft computer applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • experience working in a legal department is desirable.
