Job Description

  • Administration Support Officer role within Immigration New Zealand
  • 2 x Full time permanent positions
  • Located in Palmerston North

 

About the role.

These roles for the Palmerston North Visa Processing site will see you work as a team providing office administrative support to a management team and broader office environment. Tasks include receiving visitors and contractors, administrative and data entry, coordination of meetings, liaising with building/IT maintenance, word processing, filing, and invoicing; the tasks are variable on a daily basis and will include some simple office tasks to more complex spreadsheet management and running of reports. The successful candidates will likely have moderate to advanced excel spreadsheet skills and display as confident and personable across an office environment. As part of a small team, aspects of your role would backfill office staff and provide seamless service delivery.

 

Skills and experience required:

We are keen to hear from you if you have:

  • Proven experience in Microsoft office applications, specifically excel spreadsheets and word.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Wide ranging knowledge or interest in general office functions supporting a range of staff.
  • A motivating, engaging and personable attitude.
  • A proactive, can-do approach to safety management with a high level of initiative, sound judgement and discretion
  • Applicants must hold citizenship or Permanent Residency

 

About the team:

The Palmerston North Visa Processing branch sits within the Border and Visa Operations Branch and is responsible for the student visa processing services for Immigration NZ. We have a motivated working environment and great teams.
