About the role:

As a Senior Strategy Analyst you'll use your strength in future focused analytical thinking to support the monitoring, design and ongoing evolution of Immigration New Zealand's strategy.

This newly created permanent role is in the Strategy, Engagement and Education group within Immigration New Zealand.

You will provide comprehensive analysis, insights, and advice for impacts on all aspects of the business strategy. You will work closely with other analysts across Immigration New Zealand to ensure that strategies and plans are aligned, validated and able to be effectively operationalised.

Using environmental scanning and data to benchmark and test process and practices, you'll be comfortable contributing to reviews and project teams across Immigration New Zealand.

What you will bring to the role:

As a Senior Strategy Analyst, you will bring significant experience in analysis, including strategic performance analysis tools and methodologies in a complex business environment. You will have proven experience in providing high quality analytical advice.

Bring your strong analytical thinking, curiosity and desire to influence change to business planning development and strategic design and delivery.

We are keen to hear from you if you bring:

  • A strong understanding of strategic analysis and project methodology
  • Experience identifying impacts, risks and issues
  • Proven business process design understanding and can model alternatives for implementation
  • The ability to work with numbers and cost out options to support recommendations
  • Excellent communications, self-management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong writing skills, with proven ability to clearly articulate analysis and ideas
  • The ability to use computer software packages, including project management, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and analytical skills
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • New Zealand Citizenship, or hold a residence class visa, and are able to gain and maintain a national security clearance

 

About the Branch

This position is based in the Strategy, Engagement and Education branch within Immigration New Zealand.

Immigration New Zealand works with international organisations and industry partners to improve border security and make immigration easier. We lead government strategy designed to help migrants settle into New Zealand.
