We are looking for an experienced Executive Coordinator to provide high quality support to our Director – Biosecurity Science and Risk Assessment.  

 

About the role

This role will maximise the effectiveness of the Director by providing high-level support enabling the effective use of time, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and meeting key reporting requirements.

This role requires a true team player. You will be willing to work alongside the other Executive Coordinators and Executive Assistants to deliver cohesive and professional support cover to the Biosecurity Science & Risk Assessment Directorate.

You will be effectively and efficiently managing the director's time, ensuring deadlines are met and tracking correspondence flow and deliverables for the directorate. 

Skills and Experience

You will have:

  • strong communication and relationship skills and attention to detail
  • be comfortable working in a fast and an ever changing environment
  • the ability to remain calm under pressure while remaining focused, flexible and adaptable with the confidence to operate in a degree of ambiguity

Ideally, you will have experience working in a large public sector or corporate environment where you have supported a very busy senior leader or manager.  You will also have a good understanding of how the mechanics of government work with the ability to continue delivering results and provide excellent support.
