The New Zealand Intelligence Community (NZIC) are looking for someone with energy and drive to join our new Psychology Services team as a Clinical Psychologist. 

The NZIC Psychology Services team has been established to develop, maintain and oversee the delivery of psychological services to support the people in our community.  The Psychology services we provide include: 

  • Staff wellbeing and clinical services
  • Consultation with providers and stakeholders
  • Training and development
  • Psychological testing, recruitment and protective security
  • Organisational support 

As our Psychologist you will deliver psychological services to support the NZIC. You will be an innovative and effective practitioner and have a proven track record of delivering professional psychology services as well as – 

  • A breadth of psychological practice
  • Experience administering, interpreting and integrating a range of psychometric tests
  • An ability to provide effective therapeutic practice
  • The ability to build and maintain productive working relationships 

You will be adept at working within a responsive team environment and develop strong working relationships with a range of services. 

You will be registered to practice with the New Zealand Psychologist Board as a psychologist in New Zealand. You will have a minimum of a Masters level qualification in an area of clinical psychology, along with a number of years' of experience in the related field.

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold NZ Permanent Residence or hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.

You must be able to obtain and maintain a high level security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have a 15 year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken. Where requisite checks are unable to be made, the candidate application may not be able to be progressed.
