Site Manager, Care & Protection – North and West Auckland

Do you want to make a difference for tamariki, rangatahi and whānau and work alongside iwi and the community to provide the best services and outcomes for tamariki? We are looking for someone who shares our passion for getting things right for tamariki and rangatahi to join our team as the Manager of our one of our North and West Auckland site.  


What you will do?


As part of the North and West Auckland leadership team, your key focus will be on providing leadership and managing the delivery of high quality, child protection services to tamariki, young people and their whānau.


As a driven, inspirational and experienced leader, you will be able to deliver on our vision and purpose. You'll leverage off this to quickly establish solid working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders by building on iwi, inter-agency networks and wider community engagement.


Your strong people management experience will allow you to provide clear direction to your team to provide a high quality service to children and their families living in the North and West Auckland region. 


You will have astute business acumen allowing you to effectively manage financial, HR and health and safety responsibilities in a complex work environment.


You will be able to build and maintain iwi relationships and ensure that tamariki and whānau stay well connected. Above all else, you'll actively work to keep mokopuna at the centre of everything we do.  


What you will bring?
•    Commitment to getting things right for tamariki and rangatahi
•    Experience in successfully leading and managing a medium sized team (20-30 staff), ideally within a social services context
•    A good understanding and knowledge of Te Reo Me Ona Tikanga and uphold the principles of the Tiriti o Waitangi (Treaty of Waitangi)
•    Be a collaborative, strengths-based leader with the ability to collaborate within a multi-agency approach
•    The ability to manage risk and make tough decisions
•    Be strong in business planning, financial management, resource allocation and performance monitoring processes
•    Have a positive outlook and supporting nature
