We are a dynamic and evolving organisation committed to driving high performance, growth and success.  In an exciting period of transition, we have an opportunity for an exceptional corporate executive to join our leadership team as Deputy Secretary, Strategy, Performance & Engagement and Chief Operating Officer (SPE/COO).  As Deputy Secretary you will be a member of the Treasury's Executive Leadership team (ELT) and report directly to the Secretary and Chief Executive.

An integral role supporting our Secretary and CE, as DS SPE/COO you'll combine your strengths in business acumen, people and government to steer the overall performance of the Treasury.  With a breadth of operational experience and knowledge you will be responsible for leading our diverse corporate function and driving our organisational strategy and planning.  Working collaboratively across the organisation you will be responsible for strategic imperatives including the Living Standards Framework Implementation and our strengthening the Treasury work programme.

You're an authentic and astute senior executive with a proven ability to lead the implementation and execution of strategy to enable a corporate function to successfully deliver strategic and operational outcomes.  You'll have proven strategic and people leadership abilities and be a credible executor with a delivery mind-set.  An energetic and positive leader you have excellent people skills and are capable of delivery through building and maintaining a wide range of trusted relationships.  You will be comfortable managing ambiguity, steadfast under pressure with an excellent ability to deal with a diverse range of situations and issues.
