Job Description

Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team:

  • The Long Term Programmes team delivers programmes to tackle pest and disease challenges facing New Zealand. The team sits within the Recovery and Pest Management Group, which leads on issues including: controlling Wilding Conifers (NZ's number one weed problem), eradicating some of the world's worst aquatic weeds that if left uncontrolled would smother our waterways, and stopping the spread of marine and freshwater pests.
  • Our work has real impact. We protect New Zealand's farms, natural landscapes and native species so we can maintain our unique lifestyle and tourism can continue to thrive. We support partners and stakeholders who can't solve these issues on their own.
  • We also lead projects to deliver innovation and system improvements. We work in partnership with central and local government agencies, Māori, industry, non-government organisations and communities.
