We are seeking marketing tutors and markers who are self-motivated and self-managing, have integrity, initiative and sound judgment, and excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Tutor and marker roles will be part-time and fixed-term as required per semester (14 weeks) with a possibility for ongoing work. Please note, we are likely to start contacting suitable applicants as when they apply as we have a February start in mind for semester one.

The positions are based at our Auckland campus in Albany, which has convenient transport links including buses into the campus. These positions will suit individuals who have successfully completed at least 300-level courses in marketing, and have an interest in education and support of students.

Key duties include:

  • delivering specific tutorial and/or workshop material at scheduled times
  • recording attendance
  • attending meetings as required with the course coordinator
  • invigilating tests, effective and timely marking of tests and tutorial and/or workshop assessments
  • timely submission of marks and other duties as required.

The effective delivery of courses is crucial to the School of Communication, Journalism and Marketing and Massey Business School and strong tutor and marking support is essential for our commitment to meeting our mission of quality education.

We offer challenge and opportunity, and the chance to be part of a strong and supportive staff team working in a great campus environment.

If you'd like to express your interest in being considered for part-time, fixed-term work, as and when needed, we'd love to hear from you! Please submit your CV online and include a cover letter outlining your suitability, availability and why you're interested. Please let us know in your cover letter if you are expressing an interest in tutoring or marking or both.

Enquiries regarding the position should be directed to Nitha Palakshappa, Associate Head of School School of Communication, Journalism and Marketing

Please submit your interest by applying online, rather than emailing your CV and cover letter to the Associate Head of School.

Applications close 11.30pm Wednesday, 12 February 2020.

Note - we are likely to start contacting suitable applicants as and when they apply as we have a February start in mind for semester one.
