Team Manager, Strategic Communications, National Office


It's an exciting time at Tāhū o te Ture, the Ministry of Justice work together for a fair and safe Aotearoa.

Communication Services works with a wide range of people to build trust and confidence in the Ministry, showing how we are delivering on our strategy for the people of New Zealand.

We have a newly created role for a Team Manager, Strategic Communications and the successful applicant is part of the Communication Services Management Team.

Leading a team small team of advisors, you will:

  • Provide high-level strategic advice to senior people within the Ministry.
  • Support internal and external communications initiatives that contribute to the Ministry's strategy.
  • Collaborate with people across the Ministry on communication strategies.
  • Provide expert advice and support on a range of issues.
  • Develop communication products and tools to support external change
  • Lead and implement projects, solutions and business programmes.

You will have extensive experience in a communications role, preferably within a busy team, and you will have a good understanding of government and the public sector.  You will also have experience leading a team.

The salary range for this role is $115,934 to $163,671.
