Job Description

What you will do

Your well-developed office management skills and experience will be put to great use as you provide executive support to the team and be involved in developing and maintaining policies and procedures, including ensuring the team is compliant with all health and safety regulations. You will also exercise budget management, including data input, and if required, reforecasting. No two days will be the same.

What we need

Ideally someone with five years plus administration support experience. However, finding the right applicant is equally important.

You will:

  • Help with the teams budget as well as other financial requirements;
  • Provide exceptional support to all internal and external stakeholders.

With proven skills in:

  • Budget management and / or finances;
  • Communication - you will be confident in communicating with a range of people across all levels of the business;
  • Time management;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

You will be technically savvy, dependable and bring a sense of humour to the team, as well as being able to work independently with proven self-motivation.

Who we are

The Deployable Health Organisation (DHO) is a unit within Joint Support Group and they are tasked to command, coordinate, train and manage all collective DHO capability. The role of the DHO is to prepare operationally deployable health capability to meeting NZDF operational outcomes.

Please note: Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand (NZ) and be able to obtain and maintain the required level of NZ Government security clearance for the position applied for. The minimum citizenship and residency criteria for security clearances to be granted by the NZ Defence Force are as follows:

Higher level Security Clearance

  • most preferably a NZ citizen, who has resided in this country continuously for at least the last ten years, OR
  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last ten years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, the United Kingdom (UK) or the United States of America (USA); and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at this level.

If you do not meet these minimum criteria, we will not be able to accept your application.
