Manager Security

About the role: 

This is a hands-on role where you will be instrumental in setting up and providing strategic support, leadership and direction around our security and safety vision. It is imperative that you will be able to take the business on the journey to understand and implement a risk-based approach and be able to ensure that relevant systems and processes are in place to achieve this. 

 

To succeed in this role, you will be able to work collaboratively across the organisation and demonstrate exceptional stakeholder and vendor management expertise. You will bring a passion for creating a culture based on security and safety ethics, which foster best practice and meet our contractual security obligations and emergency management business continuity plan to drive operational performance.

 

This role requires an expert practitioner within Physical Security Requirements (PSR) who will be able to obtain and maintain a high level of security clearance within New Zealand.

 

What you will bring to the role:
  • Strong leadership skills combined with personal integrity and the ability to engage and motivate others in an evolving complex environment
  • Demonstrated experience in influencing senior leaders to be able to quickly build credibility and trust
  • Potential to make the connections between various aspects of the organisation and implications for their business unit
  • Aptitude to build capability and knowledge to ensure the team are informed of legislative and compliance requirements
  • The skill set to develop, implement and maintain a emergency management business continuity, risk & security framework to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
  • Senior experience in reporting on risks and issues and successfully managing escalations
  • Understanding of current legislation and best business practices related to security (e.g. crimes, trespass and privacy) and physical and personnel security
