12 months fixed-term, full-time role

About our group and team

Our teams around the country work closely with the Early Childhood and Schooling sectors, providers, and communities to provide support, expertise and resources to help children and young people reach their full potential.

We also directly provide Learning Support for around 40,000 children and young people.


About this role

This role manages a team of advisors and specialist staff which supports strengthening inclusion for all children and young people with a focus on learners who are at risk of not achieving educational success without additional support. The team provides advice and guidance to Ministers, national and regional staff, and input into cross agency work to support the development and delivery of evidence-informed services and support. Some of the current portfolios include: child and youth wellbeing, bullying prevention, school-based wellbeing initiatives and behavioural intervention and students at risk of disengagement.


About you

We are looking for a manager with proven experience who can lead a team of specialists and support the Ministry to meet our Learning Support service obligations.

This role is a challenging and rewarding one, working with senior managers and staff across the Ministry of Education and the offices of our Ministers. The Manager Service Support will join a close knit team of managers and staff in the Service Delivery function committed to providing great service to our customers and the public.
