The Role
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Advisor to join our small Payroll team based in our Wellington National Office.
Working alongside the Senior Payroll Analyst you will provide an end to end payroll service to Te Puni Kōkiri employees. You will play a key part in providing processing and checking support utilising our payroll system and to the HR team, including:
- Running regular and ad hoc reporting requests
- PayDay filing
- Administration for ACC claim reimbursements
- Providing payroll related advice to staff on HR policies
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources team, ie in-house payroll-related filing; stationary ordering; etc
- Manage the day-to-day processing of HR-related accounts; Contract Management; and reporting on the Human Resources budget. Assisting and providing support to the Manager of Human Resources & Capability by being able to answer budget-related queries and provide him with full awareness of the HR budget status at short notice.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Experience in providing payroll services of minimum 2 years
- A high degree of knowledge of employment related legislation and the application of the same within a payroll environment
- Attention to detail
- Experience providing a range of customer focused human resource services - including leave management and reporting
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- A high level of numeric and logical reasoning ability
- Proficient user of Excel.
