About the role:
We are seeking a pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy operations team in a coordinator role. This more senior role will work predominately within the dispensary supply area and will assist with leadership and coordination of the dispensary supply service.
You will work alongside a neat team of pharmacists, technicians and assistants, as well as being be part of the larger Pharmacy Services team comprising of more than 80 employees. Opportunity to “keep your hand in” within our on-site community pharmacy, Pharmacy on Meade, also exists.
Waikato Hospital is a tertiary level teaching hospital servicing approximately 800 beds, supplying a full range of services to one of the most diverse and geographically widespread regions in the country. It is a great place to work – lots of variety, interesting and valuable services, with passionate people – you won’t get bored working here!
This 1 FTE permanent position will be spread over a Tuesday to Saturday roster with occasional rostered Public Holiday involvement. Inclusion within the on-call pharmacist team may potentially be required.
Flexibility, good communication skills, well developed time management skills and experience in working in a pharmacy operations environment, are all desirable attributes. Hospital experience is an added bonus but not a deal breaker.
