We have an exciting opportunity available for a Nurse Practitioner.
About the role
The Nurse Practitioner-Mātanga Tapuhi role contributes to a supportive and progressive highly skilled inter-professional team fostering innovation, progression and commitment to service excellence in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
We are seeking an energetic and inspirational Nurse Practitioner- Mātanga Tapuhi who can demonstrate collaborative advanced practice, with a focus on patient safety and quality improvement.
About the service
Te Whatu Ora-Health New Zealand, Waikato, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has 41 beds, 17 of which are allocated to Level 3 care and we have an active retrieval service for the Midland region of the North Island.
We are committed to cultivating a positive environment of teamwork, learning and development, and valuing the skills and contribution of all members of our multidisciplinary team working together towards the best possible health outcomes for neonates and their whānau.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is qualified as a Nurse Practitioner in New Zealand.
• Demonstrates excellence in health through service delivery, research & policy
• The Treaty of Waitangi is the foundation of practice
• Builds strong honest and respectful relationships across disciplines to improve health outcomes

The Nurse Practitioner-Mātanga Tapuhi role is integral to the effective development and ongoing success of this service.
