Waitemata District Health Board serves the communities of North and West Auckland and the Rodney District, a population of over 600,000. The West Community Mental Health Team provides assessment and recovery focused care to 18-65 year olds residing within a number of suburbs and more rural areas in West Auckland. The team works from a community base in Henderson.
We have an exciting role for an experienced Registered Nurse who has sound clinical experience working within an adult community mental health team. You will provide expert clinical advice, role modelling and support practice development within our Acute community mental health team. You will work closely with other professional nursing leaders and be part of a leadership team that works in a collaborative and inclusive style.
If you are energetic with a genuine interest in developing and utilising your clinical leadership skills, this position offers a real opportunity to make an individual contribution while being part of a supportive team. Ability to present ideas in a clear and open manner whilst engaging others will be integral to your success.
As a Mental Health nurse with experience in a community mental health setting setting, you will already be dedicated to making a difference in people's lives. We would like to hear from experienced Registered Mental Health Nurses who want to practice within a service which is committed to providing real professional development opportunities.
Registration with New Zealand Nursing Council as an RN (comp) with PG cert in Mental Health and/or experience in Mental Health specialty, or RPN, and a current Practicing Certificate are essential.
