An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as a Registered Nurse. Ward 83 is a welcoming and friendly ward with a dedicated team working together to provide the best care for our patients. You will also be encouraged to undertake professional development as you grow in the team. There is an established education programme with in-service sessions, online learning, clinical coach mentoring, opportunities for post graduate study, neuro-specific and hospital wide study days.
Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
To be considered for this opportunity you should have;
· Have 1-2 years post registration experience in an acute surgical hospital setting
· Be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
· Have a current Annual Practicing Certificate
Experience in neurosurgery or neurology is preferred but not essential.
We have permanent and full time and part time roles available and to apply you must be able to work Monday to Sunday, fully rostered shifts.

We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.

Ward 83 is a neurosurgery ward providing specialist care regionally and nationally. The team here are passionate and committed as they provide care for patients who may present with conditions such as CNS tumours, cerebral haemorrhage and neurotrauma. It is a 33 bedded unit which includes 15 HDU beds and a video monitoring room for patients with epilepsy.
