We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.
We are part of Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. Te Whatu Ora leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels. Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
As part of Te Toka Tumai Auckland, National Women’s Health is responsible for delivering health and disability services to almost 500,000 people in the Auckland Region and to people from all over New Zealand. With over 6500 deliveries a year National Women's Health is one of the largest maternity hospitals in New Zealand.
We are currently seeking full-time and/or part-time Registered Nurses to join our dedicated, value-driven team for Women’s Health.
Te Toka Tumai Auckland is also seeking out registered nurses who are interested in gaining their NZ Midwifery qualification and becoming Midwives. We are currently looking into ways to support nurses to undertake Midwifery training.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
To be successful in the position, you will need to have:
- Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
- Have a valid, current Practicing Certificate
- Previous experience working in a Women’s Health or Neonatal care setting is an advantage, or if you have a passion towards taking care of Wāhine and Pēpi – we want to hear from you.
- An ability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential
- Must have the eligibility to work in New Zealand
