We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.
We are part of Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. Te Whatu Ora leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.

Orthopaedic Nursing is ideal for nurses who enjoy working in a fast-paced, challenging and rewarding environment. As a leading trauma centre, orthopaedic nursing at Auckland City Hospital offers you the opportunity to widen your experience in caring for people within the scope of multi-trauma and elective orthopaedic speciality. This is your chance to join the team and do your life's best work!
Our population is diverse - you will work within a multi- disciplinary team where you will care for patients aged 15-106 years. Our multi-disciplinary approach is crucial to patient care and discharge planning. The Observation Unit provides a place for caring for patients with high-health needs. Our team also extends to include other specialities such as Pain Team or Trauma Team.
This is a great opportunity to build on your experience as you will also be provided with a supportive and structured orientation programme.
