Permanent, Part Time - 20 hours per week (0.5FTE),
Monday to Friday

Right now, we - re looking for a passionate Social Worker with great interest in mental health to join our Inpatient Mental Health Team in Timaru. Dedicated to helping people live their best possible lives, we - re after someone who truly thrives on seeing patients achieve their goals. The Social Worker provides psycho-social support to individuals and their families/whanau facing challenges arising from health-related issues.

The role includes responsibility for working alongside clients who have an identified need for assistance with issues around employment, finances, and/or housing.
You ideally should have:
- Full registration with the New Zealand Social Workers Registration Board
- A current Annual Practicing Certificate
- ANZASW membership or be participating in monthly clinical supervision.
- Comprehensive Social Work knowledge and appropriate clinical experience preferably within a mental health related setting
- Experience in managing the complex psycho-social needs of patients and whanau within the health setting
- The aptitude to make autonomous clinical decisions within scope of practice
- The ability to work effectively within a team along with a high standard of oral and written communication skills.
- A current New Zealand driver - s license
