We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified healthcare professional with experience in improving the standards of care for patients and a commitment to infection prevention and control. Being a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Infection Prevention would be an advantage but not essential.
As the Quality Improvement Lead for Infection Control you will be responsible for the delivery of a range of improvement projects within the IPC team as well as across the organisation. You will work with the IPC team to oversee the delivery of key projects such as the hand hygiene project, ICNET management, and Surgical Site Infection surveillance
Across the DHB you will work with a wide range of professionals to promote frontline ownership to achieve culture and practice change to deliver continuous improvement in care delivery. Much of your time will be spent delivering improvements in infection control practice, tracking progress and identifying solutions to barriers.
As such the skills we are looking for are:
- People focus: Excellent personal skills such as communication,(both written and verbal), flexibility, attention to detail and ability to manage relationships positively
- Technology focus: Excellent IT skills, management of databases and repositorys,
- Quality focus: A demonstrated ability to design and deliver improvement initiatives, using recognised methodologies, Posses effective project management experience involving multi-disciplinary teams
