The Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit is a regional service and one of two specialist spinal services in New Zealand. We are committed to providing an excellent service to people with spinal cord injuries of all ages over their lifetime.
If you are the successful applicant then you would be involved with participating in the development of the Occupational Therapy service within Spinal Rehabilitation, carry a clinical caseload liaising with clients, family/whanau, funding agencies and therapy services across several district health boards and supervise other staff and students. You will also have the opportunity to work as part of a friendly, enthusiastic and skilled interdisciplinary team.
If you are a good team player, energetic, with effective communication skills, experience in working as an Occupational Therapist and have a keen interest in Spinal Rehabilitation then we would like to hear from you.
NZ registered Occupational Therapist with a current practicing certificate
2 years plus clinical experience
Previous experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in
Neurological Rehabilitation and/or
Wheelchair and seating and/or
Working knowledge of both ACC and MOH systems
