Professional Leader - Oral Health Therapy at Canterbury District Health Board (Christchurch), Christchurch

- Fixed term opportunity (32- 40 hours per week) until end of April 2022 to provide professional oversight of the Community Dental Service
- Provides strategic and clinical leadership and act as a professional role model
- Works alongside the Directors of Allied Health and the Community Dental leadership team to enhance service provision and patient care

The Team: What we do
The Canterbury DHB s Community Dental Service provides dental services to nearly 90,000 children aged 0-13 in Canterbury and South Canterbury and supports our colleagues on the West Coast. There are 110 front-line clinical staff who work with modern equipment in 22 mobile dental units and 13 dental clinics.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and skills;
- You will have a current practicing certificate and be registered with the Dental Council of New Zealand as a dental or oral health therapist.
- Extensive experience as a Dental/Oral Health Therapist and time in a leadership, supervisory, or clinical education position.
- Have a deep understanding of the NZ Dental Council practice standards for dental/oral health therapists.
