The Team: What we do
Our Child and Family Safety Service, Tiaki Whanau, based on the Christchurch Hospital campus leads the Canterbury District Health Board s response to family violence. The service is responsible for the Family Violence Intervention Program (VIP), participates in multi-agency programmes to manage and reduce the risk of ongoing family violence (e.g. Integrated Safety Response) and provides clinical services for children (including the Paediatric Sexual Abuse Assessment Service, Gateway Assessments and the Vulnerable Children s Project).
We are looking for a Clinical manager to join this service on a full-time permanent basis, 40 hours per week.
The Role: Where you fit in
Your main responsibility is to provide leadership and clinical oversight of the CDHB VIP specialists (across Child Protection, Partner and Elder Abuse) and ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to Family Violence concerns to achieve best practice outcomes for children and adults. You will have an important role in developing relationships to enhance the health response to family violence across the CDHB workforce and with external partners.
To be successful in this role you ll have;
- Tertiary qualification in social work, nursing or relevant equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a related role(s).
- Strong leadership skills
