Manawanui has a long and rich history as a leader in Adult Māori Mental Health. Our Wharenui and offices are situated on the picturesque Whatua Kaimarie site in Pt Chevalier.
Our Multi-disciplinary team is comprised of clinicians and cultural kaimahi from various of hapū, iwi and countries who share a passion for supporting tangata whai I te ora and their whānau on their recovery journey.
We provide a range of clinical and cultural interventions to tangata whai I te ora Māori who are living in the ADHB catchment area.
The successful candidate will manage the Manawanui service and our small team of Kaiatawhai cultural advisors who are situated at our Adult Mental Health Unit, Te Whetu Tawera. The Manawanui Clinical Team Leader has an instrumental role to play in advancing health gain for Māori both within Māori Mental Health and across mainstream services. You will work collaboratively with Mainstream and Pacific Clinical Leaders and Kaupapa Māori Mental Health providers to ensure the provision of equitable and culturally responsive services.
We are looking for a Clinical leader who is confident and comfortable in Te Ao Māori to work in partnership with Kaumatua and cultural staff. You will lead and support the delivery of tikanga based practices and continue to imbed “The Dynamics of Whanaungatanga” and “Te Whare Tapa Wha” into our clinical processes. Manawanui is committed to developing confident Māori and non-Māori clinicians, so cultural training and support is offered to all staff.
We are looking for a proactive, passionate and conscientious senior Mental Health Clinician of Māori descent. The successful candidate will have the vision and enthusiasm to work with our leadership team to grow and enhance the clinical and cultural expertise of our service. Your positive attitude, flexibility, expert clinical and administrative skills and proven ability to form strong relationships will secure this stimulating and rewarding role.
This is a permanent , full time role working from Monday to Friday based in Pt Chevalier with easy access to the North Western motorway and free on-street parking.
