Clinical Specialist – Youth Drug and Alcohol Clinician
Are you looking at the prospect to embrace change? Do you want to be part of a community committed to improving the outcomes for tamariki (Children) and rangatahi (young people) and their whānau? Our team at Hauora Tairawhiti are currently looking for a Youth Drug and Alcohol Clinician.
A specific focus of this role includes providing support and intervention to Tamariki and Rangatahi presenting with Alcohol and Drug concerns.
It is desirable the successful applicant have a strong whānau centric focus, ability to build relationships and collaborate with whānau and community networks to offer a range of interventions as indicated by whānau. In conjunction with whanau establish and undertake assessment and supportive plans, while working alongside them to build relationships and provide a meaningful experience.
Acknowledgment and an understanding of Te Ao Māori is also desirable as Tairāwhiti has a strong iwi and cross sector leadership recognising Māori as tangata whenua, as a result Tairāwhiti is a culturally significant and innovative region.

A registered practitioner with current practicing certificate with minimum of two years’ experience working with tamariki and rangatahi with mental health challenges is desirable.
The successful applicant with be positioned at Te Waharoa, Peel Street.
All applicants must have a current, clean and full driver’s license and will be subject to a Police Vetting and Screening.
