About the role:
We currently have an opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses to work in Ward M12. A 27 bed general surgical ward caring for acute, trauma and elective patients. We provide care for patients from throughout the midlands region requiring tertiary level general surgery. Bed ward, ward M12 is a great area to further develop your surgical nursing skills caring for a diverse mix of patients. We are looking for someone who is, flexible, adaptable and willing to share their knowledge and skills.
Requirements of the role:
• A current annual practicing certificate.
• A minimum of 2 years post registration experience in an acute New Zealand hospital setting.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Some surgical nursing experience would be an advantage.
• Must be able to work rostered shifts, which includes nights and weekends.

Clinical specialities include Women’s and Children Services, Cardiology / Cardiothoracic Surgery, Oncology and Haematology, Surgical services, and Mental Health and Addiction. Waikato Hospital is the Midland regional referral centre for multiple specialties including trauma surgery, oncology, and neurology.
