The Role: Where you fit in
Canterbury Health Laboratories is looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join their team in Ashburton on a casual basis. We are a small but busy laboratory where we are looking for someone who may be looking for a change in career, or looking to pick up some extra hours. Full training in Phlebotomy will be provided.
You will be someone who likes to be around people, isn t afraid of blood and wants to contribute to the wider health system. You will also know your way around a computer at a junior level. In joining us you will be part of a supportive and friendly team that has a strong focus on providing a quality laboratory service to the Ashburton community.
The laboratory operates between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday. For this casual position, we are looking for someone who is flexible and available to cover planned and unplanned leave.
- Enjoy being around people and building relationships
- Know your way around a computer at a junior level
- Be comfortable with taking blood (full training will be provided)
- Want to contribute to the wider health system
- As some travel is required within the community, a full or
restricted NZ driver s license is essential
