Nelson Marlborough Health (NMH) is looking for an experienced OD practitioner to join our Learning and Organisational Development team on a permanent, part-time basis. People are at the heart of healthcare and the L&OD team plays a key role in developing our people to be the best they can be. Whilst this role is based in Nelson, the position will be required to travel across the Nelson Marlborough district.
As part of the broader People & Capability function, the L&OD team are responsible for creating and curating initiatives and programmes that positively impact individual, team and organisational effectiveness. The Team is also responsible for the design and delivery of leadership and management development initiatives to support our people to be their best.
Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)
You will be tertiary qualified with a degree in Education, Psychology or Human Resources (or equivalent) with over 7 years experience in areas such as organisational innovation and change, organisational development, leadership development, or strategic human resource management.
You will be comfortable working strategically with leaders to diagnose, design and implement interventions at the individual, team or organisational level, to support Nelson Marlborough Health to achieve its strategic goals. You will be able to successfully navigate the organisation and influence stakeholders by using your understanding of the complexity of the health sector, holding multiple perspectives, understanding systems and identifying pragmatic fit-for-purpose solutions.
You will be solutions focused and able to work in ambiguous and uncertain situations. Above all you be motivated by providing excellent support to your peers and colleagues and making a difference to the community we live and work in.
