As part of the Senior Leadership Team of Waitematā Hospital Services your role is to provide strong contemporary professional leadership to the Services, working with the Associate Directors of Nursing and senior nursing teams to achieve DHB professional frameworks and a high standard of patient care outcomes.
You value first and foremost a compassionate, honest, and direct leadership approach where you are visible talking to your teams, working alongside to manage patient care, and ensuring the wellbeing of staff. You are aware of current and future innovations in hospital nursing and are happy to lead discussions on new ways of working and experience and to try things out. You are action and results focused, empowering teams to use their clinical data to co-design and deliver great patient care. You are aware of Te Tīrītī o Waitangi and are committed to improving equity of access and healthcare outcomes for Māori communities.
You will currently be leading nursing services in an acute hospital setting and have an undeniable track record of enhancing patient experience, great teamwork, and improving patient outcomes. You will also have a reputation of having high level clinical practice experience and ability to role model practice currency to support leadership of senior nursing teams, and a reputation for proactive contribution at a senior executive level in complex decision making.
