About the service:
Respiratory medicine is an exciting opportunity to deliver care to patients who have chronic conditions such as COPD, ILD, asthma, bronchiectasis and cystic fibrosis. Basically we manage any respiratory conditions affecting the lungs. This includes lung cancer and tuberculosis. We are a dynamic unit that puts high priority on patient care and positive outcomes.
About the role:
We have a permanent part-time position available in Ward A2 for an experienced Health Care Assistant.
Your duties will include:
• Assisting with basic patient cares;
• Restocking of supplies & maintaining a clean and safe environment;
• Other such duties that will assist with the smooth running of the department.
Required skills & experience:
• A minimum of 2 years healthcare experience;
• Strong communication skills and being a strong team player.

Waikato Hospital is the Midland regional referral centre for multiple specialties including trauma surgery, oncology, and neurology.
