Vision & Hearing Technicians
Permanent positions - 32 hours per week (2 roles)
At Lakes District Health Board we currently have a vacancies for 2 permanent part-time 0.8 FTE Vision and Hearing Technician to work 64 hours per fortnight.
This position is based in Rotorua but may require travel to Taupo as needed.
Vision and Hearing Technicians (VHTs) are an integral part of ensuring children in our community have the best opportunities relating to their vision and hearing. You will need to have a natural empathy with our pre-school and school age clients.
You will be responsible for coordinating visits to preschools and other venues to deliver the Vision and Hearing screening programme.
You will have relevant experience in Health, Education, Clerical or Community fields. The New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3) Vision and Hearing Strand will be an asset although not essential.
To be eligible to work at Lakes DHB you mst be fully vaccinated.
