Life is a collection of small moments: meaningful moments, challenging moments, moments to remember. At SCDHB, we want to support our people to enjoy more of the moments that matter. Are you ready to join us?
Right now, we are looking for a Registered Nurse with lots of compassion and an interest in mental health to become part of the team here in Timaru. The role is part time at 75 hours per fortnight (0.94 FTE), with 24/7 rostered shifts booked on a 4 days on 2 days off basis, giving you the flexibility to live your life.
You will join our Inpatient multidisciplinary team, who use the Strengths Model approach to assist client recovery. We hope you will make a difference in this positive team environment, where initiative is rewarded with active support allowing for high standards of service delivery.
You will have time to invest in your clients and team and enjoy a well-established structure which contributes to achieving the best outcomes for our clients.
The role includes responsibility for inpatient clients identified with moderate to severe psychiatric disorders who are in the acute stage, requiring a period of close observation &/or intensive intervention where this is unable to be safely provided in the community. Input into comprehensive clinical assessments and the development of recovery / treatment plans is required.
You must be a Registered Nurse who enjoys working within a collaborative team environment. Psychiatric / mental health experience would be advantageous.
You will not be required to wear uniforms while on the ward, but your own clothes instead.
