As a member of the casual pool you will have the important task of providing secretarial support to our consultants, physicians and clinical team, including typing of medical correspondence.
The exact hours of work for staff in our casual pool vary based on the position being covered and the service need at the time. Generally our normal hours of work are up to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8.00AM- 6.00PM. Based on our service needs, you may be offered opportunities to fulfill fixed-term roles within the Clinical Support Services team.

- Experience across a range of departments within Nelson Marlborough Health (MMH)
- A comprehensive training programme.
The commencing salary for Secretarial Support is $49,580 (pro rata per annum. I.E. based on a 40 hour week). Our preferred candidates will be required to undertake a computer skills assessment.
Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)
To meet the requirements of this role you ll need to have a sound knowledge of MS Office suite and be a competent typist. Experience in dictaphone typing would be an advantage, but is not essential.
You ll be the type of person who thrives in a busy environment, remains calm under pressure and enjoys being a supportive team member.
For the health and safety of both staff and patients, and in line with the Health Order, all NMH staff are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
