Contract: Permanent - part time (0.8 FTE)
Children s Ward is a busy 16 bed multi-speciality ward which caters for medical and surgical patients and provides regional service for Paediatric Burns and Plastics patients.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity available to work in a multi-speciality ward. You will be working in partnership with babies, children, adolescents and their families, and have the opportunity to care for acute medical and surgical patients and to develop skills in burns and plastic surgery nursing. We are looking for nurses who have a passion for working with babies/children/adolescents and their families.
The position is a permanent role you will be working rostered and rotating shifts including nights.
What you'll bring
You will need to have acute nursing experience and resilience in a very busy environment as well as excellent time management communication skills. A positive attitude along with a team focus is a must and of course a passion for working with babies/children and their families.
To work with us you must be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and hold a current APC. Ideally you will have at least two year s paediatric nursing experience and have worked in a similar role.
